Zen didn’t ring when my session ended
Zen can only ring if it’s allowed to schedule alarms. If you see “Alarms are off” in Zen, tap Enable and turn alarms on in Settings. Until then, sessions end with a quiet notification instead.
Does Zen work with Apple Watch?
Zen doesn’t have its own Watch app, and doesn’t need one. When a session ends, the alarm also reaches the Apple Watch paired with your iPhone, so you won’t miss it when you’ve stepped away from your phone.
How do I change the length of a session?
Tap the gear at the bottom right to open Preferences, then drag the Focus, Rest or Recharge slider. Each can be anywhere from 5 to 60 minutes. A session that’s already running keeps its length.
How often do I get a longer break?
After every group of focus sessions, Zen gives you a Recharge instead of a Rest. In Preferences, Group size sets how many focus sessions make a group.
Can I pause or skip a session?
Yes. The middle button under the timer pauses and resumes it. While a session is paused, the button on the left resets it, and the one on the right skips to the next session.
Can I hide the countdown on my Lock Screen?
Yes. In Preferences, turn off Live activity. Zen still rings when a session ends.
Does Zen collect my data?
No. Zen has no accounts, ads, analytics or tracking. Read the privacy policy for the details.
What do I need to use Zen?
An iPhone with iOS 27 or later.
